The children impressed me as they put into practise the language they have learnt over the last few weeks when we have been learning about capacity. The children enjoyed following instructions to make swamp shakes for snack. They were careful to make sure their cups were half full to begin with and showed great team work as they compared each other’s and gave advice on whether they thought their friends needed more or less milk. Next they added a full spoon of swamp powder. Matilda used great thinking skills as she noticed, some swamp shakes were very light in colour compared to others. She concluded that this must be because some children must not have put a full spoon of powder into their milk. Great thinking!
